There’s some breaking news from the National Football League. No, it’s not about starting training camps on time (that’s still unknown) or any specific player news. Instead, it’s about all the top selling jerseys at the NFL’s official online store (NFLShop.com) since the draft.
1. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins aqua
2. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins white
3. Tom Brady, Buccaneers pewter alternative vapor
4. Tom Brady, Buccaneers white vapor
5. Tom Brady, Buccaneers red
6. Tom Brady, Buccaneers red vapor
7. Rob Gronkowski, Buccaneers pewter alternate
8. Joe Burrow, Bengals black
9. Rob Gronkowski, Buccaneers red
10. Tom Brady, Buccaneers pewter alternate
We know what you are thinking, “why are they telling me about jersey sales”? Well, besides the fact that it’s actually kind of interesting, the popularity of certain players could affect the odds at sportsbooks like the Winning Poker Network Sportsbooks.
As you can see, there are a lot of Miami Dolphins fans (and nationwide) who are excited about Tua Tagovailoa taking his talents to South Beach. The Alabama product could be their first franchise quarterback since Dan Marino.
Miami is +5300 to win the AFC right now at Winning Poker Network Sportsbooks. That seems about right and the excitement about the jerseys does not seem to have moved the odds in their favor.
Tampa Bay just put out new uniforms and it’s obvious that not only are fans excited about them, but also about Tom Brady playing in a new location for the first time in 20 years. It also helps that Brady brought the very popular Rob Gronkowski with him.
The Bucs are +500 to win the NFC and that does seem overvalued. Tampa was just 7-9 last year and while the Brady factor alone should bring another 3-4 wins, I still don’t see them so close to NFC South rival New Orleans who is at +485.
