WSOP Event #64: Mixed No-Limit Hold’em; Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed)

Event #64 of the 2021 WSOP is the $5,000 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em; Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed). This two-day event was a new addition to the WSOP schedule. It began at 3 pm on Tuesday, November 2. Players were allowed a single re-entry if they busted out in the tourney’s early levels.

Finland’s Eelis Parssinen came away as the winner of the $5,000 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha for 2021. Parssinen’s victory came in one of the most eye-opening bracelet events on the 2021 World Series of Poker schedule.

Parssinen survived a 579-entry field to win this mixed-games tournament. The event alternated between rounds of poker’s two most popular variants, pot-limit Omaha and no-limit hold’em. Parssinen’s victory earned him a career best of $545,616. This big payout boosts his career live-tourney earnings over the $1.5 million mark.

The bracelet victory also puts Parssinen’s name in the books as only the seventh Finnish player to score WSOP gold. Juha Helppi is the country’s only double-bracelet winner. Another Finnish player, Joni Jouhkimainen, also made it all the way to the final table here before hitting the rail in fifth.
