WSOP Event #18: Mixed Triple Draw Lowball (Limit)

Event #18 of the 2021 WSOP is the $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) tournament. This event rotated through three different variants of Lowball in Ace-to-five, Deuce-to-seven, and Badugi. The tournament ran for three days starting on October 8, with 60-minute levels throughout.

This event came to a close after heads-up play overflowed into Day 4. The tournament drew a field of 253 players, creating a prize pool of $562,925. Each player started Day 1 with 35,000 in chips.

Players like Daniel Negreanu, Scott Seiver, David “ODB” Baker, and defending champ Daniel Zack gave up their chips for free in this event. Robert Mizrachi, Carol Fuchs, David Benyamine, and actor James Woods were among those who cashed.

Dan Zack won his first WSOP bracelet and the tournament’s top prize of $160,447 in the 2019 $2500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball event. That one had 296 entries to generate a total prize pool of $666,000. Zack went on to finish in the top five in two other mixed-game bracelet events in 2019.
