Last leg of OSS Cub3d X features the biggest prize pools of the month-long series
A month of nonstop tournament action on the Winning Poker Network comes to its conclusion this week, as OSS Cub3d X plays out with the largest guarantees of the series.
The Bigger Online Super Series (BOSS) begins today, as the third and final leg of OSS Cub3d X. The BOSS kicks off with seven events that begin on Monday, including BOSS #1 – $150,000 Guaranteed High Roller.
BOSS #1 starts off a week of high-stakes and high roller tournaments to finish off the OSS Cub3d X slate. Several BOSS events offer six-figure prize pools and bigger.
The centerpiece event on the BOSS schedule takes place in the form of BOSS #43 – $1 Million Guaranteed. The $2,650 buy-in tournament begins Sunday, with satellites to the Main Event running throughout the week on WPN.
BOSS goes big with high buy-ins, big prize pools
The BOSS portion of OSS Cub3d X saves the biggest buy-ins and largest guarantees for the last week of the month-long tournament series. Buy-ins range from $109 to $2,650 across 51 BOSS events.
The $2,650 buy-in applies to the Main Event, as well as BOSS #12 – $150,000 Guaranteed Super High Roller. All BOSS events come with at least $25,000, including the series finals, BOSS #51 – $25,000 Guaranteed Hyper Turbo Super Stack.
All seven days this week (August 24-30) feature at least six BOSS events. Highlights on the tournament schedule include:
BOSS #2 – $125,000 Guaranteed High Roller (Monday, August 24, 3:30 pm EDT start time, $109 buy-in)
With an affordable $109 buy-in and $125,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs, this event will likely draw one of the largest players fields among the remaining OSS Cub3d X events.
This unlimited re-entry event features 10-minute levels and at least $62,500 to the winner. That winner’s share and the overall prize pool are likely to end up well above the guaranteed numbers, however.
BOSS #8 – $200,000 Guaranteed 6-Max (Tuesday, August 25, 3 pm EDT, $215 buy-in)
Another tournament with a relatively modest buy-in and a huge upside guarantee, BOSS #8 takes place on a Tuesday schedule that includes a trio of events with six-figure prize pools.
Like most of the BOSS events, this tournament features unlimited re-entry and a 10-minute level structure.
BOSS #25 – $150,000 Guaranteed High Roller 8-Max (Thursday, August 27, 4:15 pm EDT, $1,050 buy-in)
High rollers looking for bigger buy-ins and smaller fields can find this $1,050 entry event on Thursday’s BOSS schedule. BOSS #25 plays as one of three $1,050 buy-in events on the BOSS schedule.
WPN slows down the structure for this high-roller event, with 20-minute levels and nine levels of late registration.
BOSS #42 – $300,000 Guaranteed – Warm Up 8-Max (Sunday, August 30, 1 pm EDT, $109 buy-in)
This Main Event “warm-up” comes with one of the biggest guarantees of the BOSS series. The $109 buy-in and $300,000 guarantee are sure to draw big numbers to this unlimited re-entry tournament.
BOSS #42 plays as one of six BOSS tournaments promising six-figure prize pools on Sunday.
BOSS #45 – $300,000 Guaranteed – Sunday Special (Sunday, August 30, 2:30 pm EDT, $109 buy-in)
Another big Sunday guarantee comes in this event, and once again this unlimited re-entry tournament should attract plenty of entrants and pump up the prize pool.
BOSS #42 and BOSS #45 are both set to run along with the Main Event, giving players the chance to multi-table and potentially take home some huge scores.
BOSS #43 – $1 Million Guaranteed (Sunday, August 30, 1:30 pm EDT, $2,650 buy-in)
The BOSS phase of OSS Cub3d X culminates with the $1 Million Guaranteed Main Event, which awards at least $500,000 to the eventual winner. The Main Event features 15-minute levels, and plays as the second of two $1 million guaranteed tournaments in OSS Cub3d X.
The first of those seven-figure-prize events wrapped up this weekend, with the Online Super Series Main Event (OSS #128) wrapping up the OSS leg of the series. First-place honors went to ‘theseKids’, who topped a field of 2,781 entries in the $600 buy-in event, taking home $269,478.
OSS Cub3d X kicked off the first week of August with The Venom. That $7 million guaranteed event yielded the biggest payout in the history of WPN, with winner ‘TRT-Vitor’ taking home $1,369,821 in the $2,650 event.
