Phil Ivey remains widely regarded as one of, if not the best, poker players of all time. If you’ve ever wondered how you would fare in a heads-up match against Ivey, here’s your chance to find out.
On Sunday, November 19, ClubWPT offers you the opportunity to win one of two $2,500 WPT Prime Passports, along with the chance to challenge Ivey to a heads-up match for a $10,400 seat at the $40,000,000 guaranteed WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December.
“Since Phil joined the WPT family as an official ambassador, we have aimed to integrate him into the ClubWPT landscape,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “It is an honor to offer ClubWPT members this opportunity to face the best and land an unforgettable experience, win or lose.”
The online qualifier (for Diamond and VIP members of ClubWPT) kicks off at 5:00pm ET and awards a $2,500 Passport to the WPT Prime Championship, which runs from December 7-12, to the top two finishers in the field. The Passport also comes with a four-night hotel stay at Wynn Las Vegas and $500 in cash.
In Las Vegas, on December 10th, the two qualifiers will play against Ivey simultaneously in a live heads-up match to compete for a seat at the WPT World Championship. Both players will battle Ivey at the same time, and whoever emerges victorious wins not only bragging rights for life but also a shot at the unprecedented $40,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
“Looking forward to playing heads-up against the two ClubWPT players at the same time,” said Ivey, WPT Ambassador. “Should be fun and competitive.”
