Dzivielevski tops tough field to take down the $5,200 8-Max High Roller
With the 2021 SCOOP in the rear view mirror, PokerStars moves forward with its next major online tournament series. The world’s largest online poker operator runs the Bounty Builder Turbo Series through June 6, with $25 million guaranteed across 184 events.
The series kicked off on May 23, with 36 tournaments completed as of Tuesday night. The biggest winner in the festival so far comes from a familiar name, and the identity of that player should come as no surprise.
Brazilian legend Yuri Dzivielevski topped the field in Event #7: $5,200 8-Max High Roller, adding a $169,762 payday to his already elite poker resume. Dzivielevski won $112,383 from the payout ladder, with an additional $57,379 coming from progressive bounties.
That six-figure payday stands as the largest so far from any Bounty Builder Turbo Series event. The win in the $500,000 guaranteed tournament wasn’t an easy one, as other top finishers included Martin Jacobson (4th - $30,073), Pascal Hartmann (5th - $32,675), 2020 WSOP Main Event champion Damian Salas (6th - $19,303), Lucas Greenwood (7th - $17,737), and Adrian Mateos (8th - $29,118).
Dzivielevski currently sits atop the PocketFives Online Results Rankings, continuing his strong start to 2021 with another big win. Dzivielevski is one of two players to take away six-figure wins in the Bounty Builder Turbo Series so far.
The other player in that category is fellow Brazilian Fabiano Kovalski. Kovalski took down Event #6: $1,050 NLHE Sunday HR for a $116,478 payout.
Bounty Builder Turbo Series building to dual Main Events on May 30
The $25 million guaranteed Bounty Builder Turbo Series offers every tournament on the schedule in a progressive knockout format and turbo structures. The series culminates in a pair of Main Events, each of which kick off on Sunday, May 30.
Event #89: $55 NLHE 8-Max Low, offers a $55 buy-in and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The combination of low buy-in and seven-figure guarantee will almost certainly make Event #89 one of the highest-attended tournaments in the series.
Event #90: $530 NLHE 8-Max Main Event High, comes with a $530 buy-in and a $2 million guarantee. Both Main Events begin at 1:05 pm EDT on May 30.
