I think there's a little problem with the quizzes.
I was in the top 10 for the entire month of February, and posted two of the twelve non-trivia quizzes. Those three listed winners did not post any non-trivia, only answered them. I got every non-trivia quiz posted by others correct, so in effect I was penalized for posting the two I made up (and spent time on).
I guess going forward I'll only post trivia so I have a chance at winning.
Trivia questions are much easier to post anyway... this will save me a lot of time.
I agree that it is hard to post a "good" QUIZ. I tried twice last month & messed up both times.... Even though it was totally my fault [and i don't think there's a way to fix them once someone answered], it did take a long time to enter all the details. I might have shot too high, attempting PLO8 and 4 players, etc...
It appears that not enough people post quizzes.
Any chance really old quizzes [few years old] could be recycled & pulled back by the administrators?
Either way I agree that any QUIZ maker should not get penalized. Maybe there should be a point or half point given just for posting a good QUIZ.
i thought that for the monthly $$cash$$ winnings that the quiz count had to be from the posted quizzes made in that month. [ie. only correct answers for the February created quizzes would be added up].
Are you saying that if i haven't answered prior quizzes but answered a whole bunch in one month, they would all count towards the monthly prize?
I know exactly how to fix the quiz section.
It's a very simple fix, and will result in an influx of a lot of excellent non-trivia quizzes being posted. I'm still pissed off about not being counted among the first place finishers for February though. I voiced my concerns about the quiz results in ioi's guestbook right after the above results were posted, and until I see an acknowledgement that I was indeed unfairly penalized for posting good quizzes and should have been included among those in first place (and that the current setup of the quizzes is not working) I am reluctant to reveal my very simple fix.
