The World Series of Poker will shake up the calendar once again with a brand-new Las Vegas stop from July 14-25, marking a direct transition into the second half of the WSOP Circuit season at the end of the summer series.

The normal post-WSOP Vegas hiatus will now feature 18 rings and a $1,700 Main Event, with plenty of action to build a bridge to what some are speculating to be a live WSOP Main Event final table at the beginning of August. It's a new strategy for the Circuit, which usually jumps somewhere else in the country to begin the second half of the season.

WSOP Circuit extends summer series

Extending the WSOP presence in Vegas beyond the summer series is one of many changes for the Circuit in 2026, which started with the structure of the season's calendar. The old calendar started the WSOP Circuit season after the conclusion of the summer and a new approach takes the January through December format. The change sets up WSOP Paradise as the big December season finale with a US Circuit Championship that invites ring winners from throughout the year.

The new calendar, along with a big push for the WSOP Plus app, signals a greater level of importance being placed on the US Circuit as a vehicle for driving players to the big events WSOP Paradise. It's also a new approach for Circuit stops in Las Vegas, where previous editions have had a hard time finding a slot on the schedule that worked.

The November stop conflicted with F1 and Thanksgiving, causing turnout problems and traffic issues for those that did make the trip. Spring stops face steep competition from everything else throughout the country, but the last two weeks of July are right there for the taking.
