888poker has announced the 2023 slate of festivals for its 888poker LIVE festivals, which will include five stops beginning with a January visit to Madrid. The 888poker LIVE series, which was introduced in 2015, has become a popular and affordable mid-priced tour serving as a live counterpart to 888's online services in Europe.
In 2023, 888poker LIVE will visit these destinations:
- 888poker LIVE Madrid: Friday, January 13 - Monday, January 23
- 888poker LIVE London: Thursday, April 13 - Monday, April 24, 2023
- 888poker LIVE Barcelona: Wednesday, May 10 - Monday, May 22, 2023
- 888poker LIVE Bucharest: Tuesday, August 8 - Monday, August 14 2023
- 888poker LIVE London: Wednesday, October 18 - Sunday, October 29 2023
Four of the five 2023 stops will be held in either Spain or the United Kingdom, countries where 888 has a significant online presence and where the 888poker LIVE tour has frequently appeared. It is possible that 888 could add additional stops to its LIVE schedule; in 2022, the tour featured seven stops, though it had only three in 2021. In 2018, the tour featured 13 separate festivals.
To date, 888poker has released a detailed schedule of events only for the January Madrid stop, which will be held at the Casino Gran Via. The festival's centerpiece is a main event with an €888 buy-in that offers multiple starting days, beginning on Thursday, January 19. The main event is being supported with online satellites for trip packages, and live satellites will also be offered in Madrid.
The January series will also feature a €2,200 high-roller NLH tourney. The high roller is a two-day offering beginning on Wednesday, January 18, leading directly into the main. Other events include a €330 mystery bounty, plus a number of more affordable events ranging down in price all the way to €90.
