High-stakes fixture spins up an eight-place final table stack into a win

Benjamin Rolle came into Tuesday’s Super MILLION$ final table eighth in chips, with PokerShares putting 14.7 decimal odds (+1370 American odds) on Rolle to pull off the win. Those odds gave Rolle just a 6.8% implied probability of winning.

The poker superstar known as ‘bencb798’ defied those odds, however, at a table that included the Super MILLION$ standard lineup of world-class tournament crushers.

Rolle emerged with the victory in Episode 34 of the Super MILLION$, topping a field of 210 entries and coming away with a $424,581 payday.

The Raise Your Edge poker training course founder topped a star-studded final table lineup that included Michael Zhang (2nd – $327,396) and Nick Petrangelo (3rd – $252,457). Tuesday’s final table capped off the 34th edition of the weekly $10,300 Super MILLION$ High Roller on GGPoker.

Rolle spins up the short stack

Tuesday’s final table began with Rolle eighth in chips, holding 21 big blinds. Rolle looked up at Petrangelo (65 big blinds), Bert Stevens (53 big blinds) and Zhang (47 big blinds) as the tournament chip leaders entering final table play.

Of those top three chip stacks, Stevens (5th – $150,112) exited first. Looking for his second career Super MILLION$ win, Stevens had to settle for a fifth-place finish. That cash puts Stevens’ GGPoker earnings at over $4.5 million, and Tuesday’s run marked Stevens’ third final table appearance at the Super MILLION$.

Both Zhang and Petrangelo came away with top-three finishes, but this week’s Super MILLION$ title eluded both. Petrangelo, with the $252,457 payday, now claims more than $3.15 million in GGPoker earnings, to go along with his $17.5 million in live tournament cashes.

The third-place showing for Petrangelo matches his previous best Super MILLION$ finish. The Canadian high-stakes tournament crusher also finished third at the Dec. 22 Super MILLION$ final table.

Zhang made his first Super MILLION$ final table run Tuesday, and his runner-up finish marked the first time he’s cashed in the event. With the $327,396 payout, Zhang’s career GGPoker earnings went over the $2.25 million milestone.

Other final table finishers included Laurynas Levinskas (4th – $194,671), who made his deepest Super MILLION$ run to date. ‘WatWudHaraldSDo’ (6th – $115,572) and ‘U LOSSER’ (7th – $89,257) played as the only two unknown players at the final table, with ‘U LOSSER’ turning a $100 satellite win into a nearly $90k payday.

Rounding out the final table were Andrii Novak (8th – $68,826) and Aliaksei Boika (9th – $53,073).
