The inaugural BetMGM Poker Championship final table will air on PokerGO. The online poker site and the poker media giant have signed a deal that will see BetMGM taking over the PokerGO studio at the Aria for two separate streams.

As well as the BetMGM Poker Championship final table, PokerGO has also agreed to film and stream the final table of a BetMGM branded $25,000 freeroll. The freeroll will be available only to BetMGM Poker Championship online qualifiers.

“PokerGO delivers the best in poker content to fans around the world," Luke Staudenmaier, the Director of Poker at BetMGM said in a recent press release. "We’re thrilled to welcome PokerGO as a valued partner of the BetMGM Poker Championship."

Staudenmaier went on to explain some of the perks of having PokerGO covering the event.

"Through this relationship, the first-ever Championship final table and freeroll participants will play some of the most important hands of their lives in PokerGO’s iconic studio," Staudenmaier said. "With Jeff Platt and Jamie Kerstetter on the mic, players will have the opportunity to claim poker glory that will live on PokerGO’s platform for years to come.”

It's certainly the case that no one outside of the World Poker Tour is producing poker content with anywhere near the production values of PokerGO at the moment. They operate in a very refined league.

What is the BetMGM Poker Championship?

The BetMGM Poker Championship will be a $3,500 event with a $1 million guarantee. It will be played live at the Aria, with Day 1 starting on June 23. As well as the freeroll, there will also be a $600 buy-in Mystery Bounty event, the first of its kind to be held at the Aria.

Staudenmaier explained his excitement for the event, saying: “The first-ever BetMGM Poker Championship descends on Las Vegas during one of the most exciting times of the poker season."

The Aria is part-owned by MGM Entertainment, one of the owners of BetMGM. So Staudenmaier couldn't help but plug the venue.

"Aria is a legendary poker brand and we’re thrilled that the Championship has become an integral part of this year’s Poker Classic," Staudenmaier said. "Through our relationship with MGM Resorts and its world-class U.S. properties, we’ll continue to leverage event programming and connect with players both online and in their favorite poker rooms.”

Satellites for the event are running in all of BetMGM's U.S. markets.
