Seats in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit poker festival — held at Playground in Kahnawake, across the river from Montreal — can now be won online at GGPoker.

The online operator has launched a series of satellite tournaments to send players to compete for some of the CAD $6 million in guaranteed prize money, as well as 18 WSOP gold rings, that will be fought for during November. The festival runs from Nov. 3-18.

The online qualifiers are available now for players across Canada. Win a package and you’ll also receive a fistful of exclusive GGPoker merch. Freerolls are also running which can get you there for nothing.

$2.5 million Main Event highlights festival

The $6M guarantee is an increase over the $5M GTD on offer during the circuit’s August stop, and the lion’s share has been earmarked for the $2,500 Main Event.

At least $2.5 million will be dished out to those who make the money in the marquee tournament of the series, which features three starting flights on November 13-15, Day 2 on Nov. 16 and the final day’s play on Nov. 17.

Jacob Hobday's winning moment Jacob Hobday turned a satellite win into a $620K payday in August.

A $400 Mini Main Event will feature six starting flights and a $500K guarantee, with plenty of other events on the schedule in that price bracket including a no-limit hold’em Mega Stack (Nov. 3, $50K GTD), a NHLE progressive KO (Nov. 4, $50K GTD), a mystery bounty (Nov. 5, $45K GTD) and a mixed PLO/NLHE event (Nov. 17, $40K GTD), all with buy-ins of $400 Canadian.

At the higher end of the price range there is a progressive KO (Nov. 9, $160K GTD), a NLHE Colossus (from Nov. 10, $800K GTD) and a mystery bounty (Nov. 18, $200K GTD) all priced at $1,000. A $5,000 Mega Stack High Roller also runs from November 17, while $400 Ladies (Nov. 14, $20K GTD) and Seniors (Nov. 10, $45K GTD) events are also on the schedule.

Jacob Hobday, the big winner at WSOP Montreal’s August stop, won his seat in a $75 satellite and turned it into a $620K win, with players finishing in 2nd and 4th also qualifying via GGPoker.

If you want to follow in their footsteps, you know where to head next.
