GGPoker to run $100,000 Dan Bilzerian Birthday Freeroll in honor of the signing
The faces of GGPoker are prominently displayed on the company’s website. The unmistakable images of Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Fedor Holz, and Felipe Ramos take center stage in an illustration that draws the eyes of website visitors to the all-star GGPoker team.
That lineup now includes the face of Dan Bilzerian. GGPoker announced a partnership with Bilzerian that brings on the social media celebrity and high-stakes poker payer as the newest GGPoker Ambassador.
Bilzerian has been spotted in some of GGPoker’s high-stakes events in recent weeks. The signing of Bilzerian brings one of the most recognizable mainstream figures associated with poker to the GGPoker team.
GGPoker announced the new partnership with the “King of Instagram” in a press release and a Twitter post Thursday.

“BREAKING… @GGPoker welcomes @DanBilzerian as our brand new ambassador. Stay tuned to all of our channels, over the next 24 hours, to find out exactly what he’ll be getting up to. There’ll be something for EVERYONE!” reads the tweet from the GGPoker Twitter account.
The press release announces the signing of Bilzerian, who says he’s on a mission to elevate the cash game scene at the site and increase the appeal of the game to recreational players.
“In these crazy times, GGPoker is the best option to get my poker on – they cater to the recreational players and that’s the future of poker, not a bunch of math nerds,” said Bilzerian. “I’ve battled guys from the $2 buy-in to the $200,000 buy-in tables at GGPoker, and will be working with GG to make cash game tables even better for the average player out there.”
Bilzerian, who has over 32 million Instagram followers, represents a figure that the mainstream recognizes as a high-stakes poker player. Bilzerian’s social media accounts of his high-roller lifestyle have garnered him status as one of the world’s most recognizable figures associated with poker.
“Dan joining Team GGPoker is a huge win! No one in poker has a bigger reach than Dan,” said Daniel Negreanu in the press release. “He has won millions in cash games and isn’t afraid to get into the mix against the sharks in the high-stakes streets at GGPoker!”
Already one of the most popular sites to spectate online games, GGPoker becomes an even more intriguing watch with the addition of Bilzerian as an ambassador.
$100k Freeroll runs Dec. 7
In honor of Bilzerian’s 40th birthday, GGPoker is running a special freeroll tournament, in which Bilzerian will mix it up with new players at the site.
The $100,000 Dan Bilzerian Birthday Freeroll runs Dec. 7, available to new players only. First place will pay at least $10,000, as well as an extra $3,000 for a special heads-up match between Bilzerian and the Birthday Freeroll winner. At least half of the field will earn a cash prize of some kind.
Perhaps the biggest prize in the freeroll, however, goes to the player that knocks out Bilzerian. The freeroll participant that knocks the player out of the tournament wins an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas to party with Dan sometime in summer 2021.
