Michael Lech is now the proud owner of a WSOP gold bracelet
With a prize pool of nearly $1 million ($924,825), the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Series ran its Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout on Monday night. This tournament attracted 649 players and it took eleven hours for the winner to be crowned. First place went to pro player Michael "miguelfiesta" Lech, who won the first-place prize of $164,248.92 and, amazingly, this was the seventh time he has cashed in an event in the present online series. Lech is also an eight-time WSOP Circuit ring winner.
Lech has been showing his talent for poker around the world by winning five of his WSOP Circuit rings in different countries, such as St Maarten, Italy, France, Mexico and the US. His total winnings from tournaments are $1,384,826, and, in WSOP-related events, he has cashed in 79 different tournaments for a total of $987,254. In only four years, Lech has earned nine pieces of WSOP gold, including one of those coveted gold bracelets. "Everybody needs a little fiesta in their life," he likes to say.
A few renowned players fell short of the final table like Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu, who finished 27th and won $6,381.29, and Event #12 winner Ryan “Joeyisamush” Depaulo, who finished 23rd.
At the final table, there was also Sean “SPS8710” Seifert, who started with a decent lead. Michael “wsopmd” Dolle and Megan “wolverine17” Milburn were there, as well. The final heads-up of the event, however, found Lech playing against William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine, who finished second and took home $110,979.
