Series awards $40 million in guaranteed prize money over 353 events
Online poker players (outside of the U.S. unfortunately) just doubled up on knockout tournament action, as GGPoker is slated to roll out a massive KO tournament series over the next two weeks.
The GGPoker Bounty Hunter Series runs Oct. 11-25, offering 353 tournaments across the series. The series kicks off Sunday with Event #1: Opener $210, which guarantees $100,000.
That event is just the start of one of the biggest knockout series ever offered on the GGPoker client. The Bounty Hunter Series includes numerous six-figure (and larger) prize pool events, all featuring the knockout format.
Bounty Hunter Series opens with big prize pools on opening day
The Oct. 11 schedule includes what GGPoker is calling the "Biggest Bounty Ever," coming in Event #12: Super MILLION$ Bounty Hunters. This $10,300 buy-in event guarantees $1 million and runs concurrently with a pair of other big-money events.
Event #13: Sunday Bounty King High Roller, offers $300,000 guaranteed at the high-roller price point of $3,150. The more affordable Event #14: Sunday Bounty King Special Edition, guarantees $400,000 for the $315 buy-in event.
Other big guarantees coming on the first day of the series include Event #8: Main Event Special Edition, which guarantees $500,000 for the $210 buy-in tournament.
More big money up for grabs Oct. 18 and 25
The second Sunday of the series offers a pair of tournaments with a $1 million guarantee. Event #174: GGMasters High Rollers, guarantees the $1 million with a $1,050 buy-in. Oct. 18 also sees another run for the Super MILLION$ Bounty Hunters tournament, with Event #174 bringing back the $10,300 buy-in event and the seven-figure guarantee.
The Super Bounty King tournaments from the previous Sunday also return on Oct. 18. Event #178 repeats the $3,150 buy-in, $300,000 guaranteed Sunday Bounty King High Roller, and Event #179 presents another edition of the $315 buy-in, $400,000 guaranteed Sunday Bounty King Special Edition.
Also on tap for Oct. 18 are a pair of $500,000 guaranteed events. Event #171: Main Event Special Edition ($210 buy-in) and Event #173: GGMasters Bounty Edition ($157.50 buy-in) each offer a half-million in guaranteed prize money.
The Super MILLION$ Bounty Hunters, GGMasters High Rollers, GGMasters Bounty Edition, and pair of Sunday Bounty King tournaments also return for a final run on Oct. 25, as Sundays are shaping up as the big money days in the Bounty Hunter Series.
KO tournament series abound in October
The GGPoker Bounty Hunter Series runs as one of three massive knockout tournament series' going on at the same time in October.
PokerStars is offering its $30 million guaranteed Bounty Builder Series on the same dates as the competing GGPoker series, Oct. 11-25. Winning Poker Network is also in the midst of its biggest-ever progressive knockout tournament series, with the MoMoMoPKO circuit guaranteeing $50 million and running through Nov. 1.
