While much of the poker world’s attention in June will be focused on middle- and high-stakes poker events in Las Vegas, GGPoker has something different on tap for players elsewhere in the world who are on limited poker budgets. GGPoker’s microFestival, which is expected to draw more than two million total entries, will run June 4-25 on the near-globally-available platform.

The microFestival online series will feature hundreds of events with buy-ins beginning at just one dollar, and GGPoker expects the total participation will pass the 2.3-million entry level, which is what the site drew in for January’s mini MILLION$ series.

June’s microFestival will offer $10 million in guaranteed prize money strewn across its scheduled events, with $1 million guaranteed for the $10.80 buy-in Mystery Bounty Main Event, which runs during the final days of the series, and includes a top bounty of $50,000.

The Mystery Bounty main is one of several headline events in the series:

The festival includes several headline events:

  • $10.80 Mystery Bounty Main Event, $1M GTD ($50K Top Bounty) – $10.80 Buy-In – $1M GTD
  • micro Global MILLION$ – $5 Buy-In – $250K GTD
  • micro Omaholic Bounty MILLION$ – $5.40 Buy-In – $100K GTD
  • micro Zodiac Bounty MILLION$ –  CN¥21 Buy-IN – CN¥500K GTD

All of the major events include multiple qualifying flights, giving players plenty of options to participate. The microFestival’s comprehensive schedule of events already lists hundreds of tournaments, and even more qualifiers and opening flights can be found within the GGPoker client itself.

“Poker is not just about the pressure-filled, high-stakes games we see on TV – it’s a game for everyone, no matter the size of your bankroll,” said GGPoker’s Managing Director, Sarne Lightman. “Our new microFestival ensures there are tournaments for every single player in the worldwide poker community, with buy-ins from just $1 and juicy guarantees to boot!”
