McEwen wins WSOPC ring #12 at Cherokee: Make it a dozen career WSOP Circuit rings for Preston McEwen after he took down Event #9: $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em for $130,433 at WSOPC Cherokee.

McEwen's win came over a field of 747 entries and moves him over $3M in career tournament earnings.

Incheon Main Day 3 in the books: After a speedy day of play at the Paradise City Casino, just 47 players remain in the APT Incheon Main Event with Japan's Shinichiro Kano leading with 3,050,000.

Day 4 kicks off at 11:15 am local time on Friday and will play down to the final table.

Jack-four documentary coming soon: Garrett Adelstein's tell-all book Beneath the Cards releases September 1 and right now he's on the promo trail spreading the hype. 

And the book isn't the only thing he's drumming up excitement for. 

In his latest promo post, Adelstein also teased the impending release of a documentary-style video about the jack-four scandal. There's no official date yet, but Adelstein said it will drop "in late 2026" on his YouTube channel. 

"Nearly all of this information has never been made public. I suspect it will come as quite a shock to those who’ve followed the controversy," he wrote.

The winner will receive $374,885, while a min-cash will be worth $2,700. Play will continue tonight until the money bubble bursts, with the final 207 earning that payday.

Qualify for the WSOP Circuit Malta Main Event for free on GGPoker: Satellites are running now across Europe (not in the UK), with freeroll qualifiers and real-money step satellites starting from €5, leading up to weekly €150 WSOP Malta Super Satellites.

WSOP Circuit Malta runs from September 25 to October 5, with 12 ring events. All ring winners will also receive a $5K WSOP Paradise package, including a tournament buy-in and hotel accommodation.

EPT Barcelona runs August 16–29: The headline is the €5,300 Main Event, but we love the sound of the new €2,200 ‘In The Money at 180,000’ tournament. Like a milestone satellite, if you hit a stack of 180K you cash and move straight to Day 2.

Flights are growing in APT Incheon Main Event: Two flights are in the books, and two more go today in the APT Incheon Main Event, with flight C underway and now the biggest starting flight yet with 230 entries so far, less than four hours into the day.

There will also be a final turbo flight starting at 6 pm local time, with Day 2 starting Wednesday morning, and registration will also be open for a level at the start of Day 2.

Last year's Main Event saw 1,281 entries, and with over 900 so far this year between the three starting flights here at Paradise City and the 282 'onlive' entries, a new record could definitely be set.

MONDAY, AUGUST 10

PokerStars is joining the Betfair platform: From August 13, Betfair customers will be able to play on PokerStars through a new co-branded PokerStars on Betfair platform, bringing Betfair players into the PokerStars player pool.

PokerStars customers in the UK will also move to the new co-branded platform later this year, although no date has been announced yet. Paddy Power and Sky Poker will also replace their existing poker products with PokerStars software later this year, with players joining PokerStars' .COM liquidity pool.

More details on the changes are expected from PokerStars in the coming weeks.
