More praise for Venetian's slide dealing. It's been in use across the property for a month now, but it's back in the headlines after the Fall Championship became the first WPT event on US soil to use it.

Jeremy Ausmus and Donnie Peters are the latest to give it the thumbs up, with Ausmus calling for it to be introduced on the PGT.

Completely agree and they’ve only been doing it a month. I asked many of them about it and they said it took some getting used to but they don’t mind it now. Would like to see this in more places including PGT. https://t.co/m3KKl02PIj

Phil Hellmuth busts as Justin Sternberg leads WPT Fall Championship Day 1B.

Hellmuth was among the late casualties late on Day 1B, with 57 players surviving the second starting flight. Justin Sternberg bagged the chip lead with 342,500 (137bb), ahead of Daniel Maor (299,000) and Victoria Livschitz (282,500). Nick Palma bagged the fifth-biggest stack ahead of Day 2 on Sunday.

Day 1B attracted 161 entries, taking the total to 264, with 89 players through to Day 2. The tournament needs another 171 entries on Saturday's final starting flight to beat its $2 million guarantee.
