Rania Nasreddine muscles her way into a pot

Benjamin Coursen limped in under the gun and Rania Nasreddine followed suit with a call in middle position. Pavan Katragadda called in the small blind before Timothy Hughes raised to 2,300 in the bid blind. All three players called. 

The flop was and Katragadda cheked to Hughes who bet 2,200. Coursen called as did Nasreddine, while Katragadda folded.

On the turn, Hughes bet again, making it 3,300. Both Coursen and Nasreddine called. 

The river brought the and Hughes bet again, making it 5,000. Coursen called, but Nasreddine decided to make it 25,000. Both Hughes and Coursen folded allowing Nasreddine to earn the pot without a showdown.

Perrone caught with hand in cookie jar

Michael Perrone opened with a raise to 1,500 in the cutoff, and on the button Pete Petree called. Christopher Allen then three bet from the blinds to 5,000. With action back on him, Peronne four bet to 10,000. Petree folded, while Allen called. 

The flop came and Allen checked to Perrone who bet 7,000. Allen called.

Both players checked on the turn and the came on the river. There, Allen checked again. Peronne put out a stack of 30,000 which was enough to put Allen all in, and Allen thought for just a moment before calling and putting himself at risk.

"You win," Perrone said, revealing his for a stone bluff. 

Allen had that beat with his for a pair of tens, and that earned him the pot and the double up.

Bunch back up top after first break

After a rough start to the day, Eric Bunch is back near the top of the chip counts after the first break with 106,600. He trails behind chip leader, Daniel Nuckolls with 148,500 and William McCracken with 112,400.

Play continues in level 4 with blinds of 300/500 (500). Currently, 92 players remain of an initial 112 entries. Registration remains open until the start of level 13 (~8:45 p.m.).

Straight flush earns Jeff Sowell a big one

With a board showing , Jeff Sowell was scooping a pot of roughly 20,000 against Henry Shepherd at the other end of the table. 

Shepherd had the short end of the stick, holding for a flopped set, but it was Sowell who had the best of it with for a straight flush. 

"If i'm gonna lose a hand, that's one way to do it," Shepherd said after the hand. 

Sowell was all smiles, laughing after the hand as he scooped the pot.
