Former champions begin to roll in

The field in the first flight of the $1,700 Circuit Main Event are about an hour into the day with 32 players on the clock and four active tables. Three of those tables have a circuit Main Event Champion at them.

Sami Bechahed Sami Bechahed

Three-time ring winner and former Choctaw Circuit Main Event champ Sami Bechahed is in the building looking to add another piece of hardware to his collection.

Christopher Selami Christopher Selami

Christoper Selami just won the Baltimore Circuit Main Event earlier this month for a cool $128,000 and his first ring. He is looking to up that score as he finds his seat in the Vegas Main.

David Jackson David Jackson

Along with former Vegas Circuit Main Event winner David Jackson, who also found his seat in Level 2. He will look to become the first two-time champion of this event.

Billy Baxter Billy Baxter

Plus the added firepower of seven-time WSOP bracelet winner and one of the best 2-7 Single Draw players in history, Billy Baxter. He will look to add his first circuit ring to his collection of WSOP hardware.

Shuffle up and deal!

After a short delay, cards are in the air for the first of three flights in the $1,700 Circuit Main Event at Horseshoe Las Vegas

Just 19 players are in their seats to start the day, but registraion remains open until about 8:45 PM. So there is still plenty of time to get in the mix!

WSOPC Vegas side event winners so far

The Main Event might just be heating up, but the players at the WSOP Las Vegas Circuit have been battling for rings for days, and there have been some notable winners.

Everyone's favorite X personality and bland food critic has been on an absolute tear. After winning a ring in the Turning Stone Circuit, Allen Kessler flew across the country to win his second this week in the $600 TORSE here in Vegas. He would also finish second in the Omaha8 and get third in the mixed triple draw. A hell of a week for the Chainsaw.

On top of the mixed game success, a couple of Martins added to their hardware collection in the no-limit streets. The one and only Martin Kabrhel showed that he still has it in the big field, no-limit events by taking down the Monster Stack for ring #6. That was followed by Martin Zamani taking down the $2,200 High Roller for his 4th ring.

Vegas Circuit Ring Winners:

  • Event #1: $400 Mini Main - Jason Daly - 54,890
  • Event #2: $400 PLO - David Goldfarb - $9,771
  • Event #3: $800 PLO - Alec Jahed - $19,009
  • Event #4: $600 T.O.R.S.E. - Allen Kessler - $15,933
  • Event #5: $600 Monster Stack - Martin Kabrhel - $52,420
  • Event #6: $600 Omaha8 - Shawn Hall - $19,643
  • Event #7: $600 OE - Mark Roland - $14,710
  • Event #8: $600 Seniors - Rhonda Bargman - $32,242
  • Event #9: $2,200 High Roller - Martin Zamani - $44,752
  • Event #10: $600 Mixed Triple Draw - Ruiko Mamiya - $12,863

There is no shortage of talent in the Vegas Player pool, and along with the players who have already secured the hardware, there are likely to be some more familiar faces in the winners' circle.

The $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event at the World Series of Poker Circuit at Horseshoe Las Vegas gets underway today at 11 AM PT, kicking off the marquee tournament of the stop with a $500,000 guarantee.

Players will begin with 40,000 in chips, and Flight A is the first of three starting flights, with additional flights set for Friday and Saturday. All surviving players will return for Day 2 on Sunday, where the field will combine and play down toward the final table.

  • Thursday, March 27 at 11 AM - Flight A
  • Friday, March 28 at 11 AM - Flight B
  • Saturday, March 29 at 11 AM - Flight C
  • Sunday, March 29 at 12 PM - Day 2 (field combines)
  • Monday March 30 - Final Table plays to a winner

Each Day 1 will play into the money, with 15% of the field getting paid, and action continuing until just 10% of the field remains, or the end of Level 17, whichever comes first. A dinner break is scheduled after Level 9, and players are allowed one re-entry per flight, with registration remaining open through the end of Level 12.

As always, the Main Event ring is the most sought-after prize of the series, and this one should be no different. With the event taking place in Las Vegas, expect a strong turnout of local regulars along with plenty of traveling players looking to take their shot. The field is likely to be packed with talent from top to bottom.

There’s plenty to live up from the last time this event ran here in March 2025, when Shannon Shorr topped a field of 774 entries to capture his first piece of live WSOP hardware. That event generated a $1,172,610 prize pool, and Shorr walked away with $207,615 after defeating Jordyn Miller heads up for the title.

It also serves as a perfect preview of what’s to come, with the World Series of Poker right around the corner this summer at the same venue. For many players, this is a chance to shake off the rust, build momentum, and get comfortable before the biggest grind of the year begins.

A new field, a fresh shot at a Circuit ring, and a big payday up top. Cards go in the air at 11 AM!
