Event 19 - Big 30k Closer

The final, final table of the Horseshoe Hammond series took place with two-thirds of the Venue completely empty. Player's voices echoed off walls as staff out-numbered the players and Erik Hagerman took down the event for his first WSOPC ring, first WSOP final table and punched his ticket to the Tournament of Champions.

Hagerman's WSOPC resume only began a year ago in Hammond with a 227th place finish in the opening event. Then he finished in 175th place in the same opening event in February at Hammond and he bested himself a week ago with 161st in Event 1.

Hagerman earned $14,275 - blowing away his previous highest cash of $841.

Puccio was the bridesmaid again, finishing runner-up for the third time. He plays well in Hammond - it's his sixth final in the Chicago area. Chicago's favorite son will be back at it when the WSOPC visits Grand Victoria in Elgin on November 7th.

Event 18 - $2,200 High Roller

The $2,200 No Limit Hold'em High Roller was a bit of an odd event - with a couple dozen entries on Day 1 that never maxed out past two tables and added a couple entrants before the start of play Monday. Jason Dewitt won his first World Series of Poker Circuit ring for $22,761.

Dewitt has two WSOP bracelets - he took down the 2016 Millionaire Maker and won the 2010 $5,000 No Limit Hold'em event. Dewitt has 70 WSOP cashes and less than ten are from the Circuit.

George Pappas finished runner-up for his 34th cash, his seventh final table and (unfortunately) his second runner-up finish at the Horseshoe Hammond.

Dewitt is originally from Indiana, lived in the Atlanta area for a few years and now resides in Las Vegas.
