2024 Poker Masters schedule announced

PokerGO's Poker Masters series will return for its seventh live and ninth overall edition in mid-September at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. The series will run September 10-19, 2024, and it will include eight events with buy-ins ranging from $5,100 to $25,200.

The series, which is a traditional autumn element of the PokerGO Tour, traditionally draws an elite field of players for its run of no-limit hold'em events. In addition to the prize money, the series also awards a $25,000 PGT Passport to its overall leaderboard winner, which is based on points awarded for in-the-money finishes for each of the eight events.

Each event's six-player final table is scheduled to be live-streamed on PokerGO, with the format including shot clocks and a handful of time-bank chips for each player to prevent extended tanking at the tables.

No player has won two Purple Jackets

Eight different players have taken down the Poker Masters leaderboard honor, which also includes the Purple Jacket, a pokery take on golf's Masters and its green jacket. Five previous live and two online winners could become the first player to win a second purple jacket. 

The prior live winners include Stephen Chidwick (2023), Sean Winter (2022), Michael Addamo (2021), Sam Soverel (2019), and Steffen Sontheimer (2017), while the two online winners of festivals conducted on partypoker during the Covid year of 2020, Eelis Parssinen and Alexandros Kolonias, could land an online/live double. 2018 purple jacket winner Ali Imsirovic remains ineligible to compete on the PGT Tour after being suspended indefinitely in 2022.
