The World Poker Tour has confirmed that for the third consecutive year, the WPT World Championship series will be held in December at Wynn Las Vegas. The 2024 edition of the WPT World Championship has been slated for a 21-day run, December 3-23, 2024, at the Wynn.
The WPT and the Wynn will release full details at a later date, though the series will be slightly more compact than the 2023 edition, which rolled along for 25 days between November 29 and December 23, 2023. That series offered 23 separate events, pulled in more than 32,000 entries, and paid out more than $100 million in total prizes.
World Championship concludes WPT's 22nd season
The festival will also wrap up the WPT's ongoing Season XXII, for which the second half of the tour's schedule was released just last week. The December series follows two Florida WPT series in November as the World Poker Tour concludes 2024 by returning to the States following several months of main-tour and Prime stops on three other continents.
“With great pride, we unveil the festival dates for the highly anticipated 2024 WPT World Championship,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “The tradition continues as we enter our third year alongside the incredible Wynn Las Vegas team, so mark your calendars in preparation for what is sure to be another memorable December.”
Ryan Beauregard, the executive director of poker operations at Wynn Las Vegas, added, “We are ecstatic to continue our partnership with the World Poker Tour for the third consecutive year. Over the coming months, we'll work diligently to craft an event schedule poker players from all over the world won’t want to miss.”
