'It took me a while to get my groove back'
What is the best thing that happened to you in poker in 2025?
The best thing that happened to me poker-wise in 2025 is I got back to the live felt. I was spending too much time indoors playing online.
I was rusty live. It took me a while to get my groove back, but I knew I was able to play again once I picked off a bluff through a live tell in a cash game.
And the worst thing?
This was a rough year in tournaments. I had a bunch of close calls online that turned into nothing. I didn't get as much time to play tournament poker as I'd like.
It's becoming harder and harder to get entire days off. I have too many commitments now. Cash game poker works much better.
Did you fulfill your New Year resolutions?
I don't believe in New Year's resolutions. I believe systems make champions. My systems have been coming through for me, so I'm happy about that.
My bills are getting paid, regardless of the bullsh*t I deal with on the tournament felt.
What are you most looking forward to in poker in 2026?
In 2026, I am looking forward to actually closing the show in some online tournaments.
What’s your Christmas wish for poker in 2026?
My Christmas wish for poker in 2026 is more legal online options.
What's your plans for working with your students as a cash game and MTT coach in 2026?
In 2026, I will continue to deliver top-tier training to my students.
Every student will continue to get tailored lesson plans, customized recordings, and text breakdowns of every session.
