Early teams are being drafted in our Pick 3 in Paradise fantasy game, and we're watching closely at who's flying off the board. With a $30K WSOP Paradise package up for grabs, you don't have to put in hours of research to win it all, but it certainly can't hurt. That's where we come in.
This is the first of a series of Pick 3 strategy articles that will guide you through picking your team. We'll do some deep dives, look at dark horses, analyze players' stats, and go through plenty more talking points as you make the decision that could get you to The Bahamas in December.
Today, we'll start with three players to look out for currently available on the draft board. If these players are not already on your radar, they should be.
Pick #1: Zachary Fischer
When looking for players to go deep in the $2,500 Circuit Championship, you should look at who's dominated both massive fields and the WSOP Circuit in recent history. One name that immediately stands out is Zachary Fischer.
Just three months ago, Fischer won the WSOPC Main Event at the tour's biggest stop in Cherokee, North Carolina, for $324,135. He outlasted the field of 1,437 entrants to capture the largest score of his career. However, it wasn't just a one-tournament fluke; Fischer has been dominant in large-field events recently.
- February 2025 - WSOPC Cherokee Monster Stack - 2/3,276 for $80,191
- February 2025 - WSOPC Cherokee Main Event - 24/1,710 for $12,833
- January 2025 - WSOPC Pompano Beach Mini Main - 5/1,098 for $21,722
Those are just a few of Fischer's deep runs in large fields this year. When he sits down at the Circuit Championship, he'll be in his comfort zone playing confident poker with his largest score propelling him forward. He's a safe bet to ride that momentum to another deep run.
Finally, if you buy into this sort of thing, Fischer was expecting a child when we interviewed him in August after his win. He credited the famous 'baby rungood' for the title. There may be more left in the tank.
Pick #2: Daniel Pearlman
If you haven't come across Daniel Pearlman at the tables this year, you're probably not playing much tournament poker. The Floridian is putting in the volume in 2025, and he has the results to show for it.
Pearlman has 48 cashes in the calendar year so far, including four outright wins. He's not just sneaking into the money, either; Pearlman has 15 final tables in that span. When you're looking for a fantasy player to go deep and put up big numbers for your team, this guy has what it takes.
Pearlman wasn't in The Bahamas last year, but he's confirmed for this December. He grinded the WSOP summer series, so he's comfortable on the big stage and will look to add one more big score before the year is over.
Pick #3: Aaron Pinson
Our last player to watch is Baltimore crusher Aaron Pinson. He's another guy who's hitting the felt hard this year with 38 cashes and counting. At the recent WSOPC in his home city, Pinson won not one, but two Circuit rings, including the Main Event for $102,668.
Pinson won that Main Event in commanding fashion. He was the chip leader after Day 1, the chip leader after Day 2, and the chip leader heading into the final table. He knows how to build a big stack and what to do with it.
"I know I'm a luckbox; what am I going to do? I'm a lucky guy," said Pinson after the win.
Give me that guy, with those recent results, on my team any day.
