5-time Circuit winner Charlie Dawson wins WSOP online bracelet

The World Series of Poker has announced more bracelet winners from events being held on WSOP.com's tri-state MI/MV/NJ platform that are being offered in conjunction with the live WSOP in Las Vegas. In recent verified results, the UK's Ryan Otto took down Online Event #12, $888 NL Hold'em Crazy 8's, while Kentucky's Charlie Dawson (pictured), a five-time Circuit ring winner, broke through in Online Event #13, NL Hold'em Freezeout.

The wins marked the first career bracelets for both Otto and Watson. Brief recaps of both events follow:

Online Event #12: $888 No-Limit Hold'em Crazy 8's

In online Event #12, Ryan Otto, a New Zealander now residing in the United Kingdom, picked up the second largest cash of his career in winning the popular Crazy 8's event. Otto, playing as 'JustVar1ance', collected $150,914.68 for topping the event's 1,366-entry field.

Otto busted Nithin 'leader1976' Eapen to close out the bracelet win, while Eapen cashed for $110,154.24 as the runner-up. Third place and $80,976.48 went to Daniel 'NoScams' Maor.

Event #12's 1,366 total entries consisted of 812 initial buy-ins plus 554 re-entries. The top 240 finishers shared in the tourney's $1,092,800 prize pool.

Online Event #13: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout

Well-known Circuit regular Charlie Dawson, a fixture at events in the central and southern US, added a brand new bracelet to his five previous Circuit rings. Dawson's latest bling came in the $1,000 NL Freezeout, where he outlasted an 824-player field to claim a $114,799.68 winner's payout.

The win moved Dawson over $1 million in WSOP lifetime earnings, leaving Zachary Vankueren to collect second-place money of $83,726.64. Upeshka De Silva, who notably grabbed the well-known 'ICuRaRook' screen name of ACR Poker brand ambassador Jeff Boski, finished third for $61,552.80.

The 824 entrants combined to create a $741,600 prize pool, which was distributed among the top 144 finishers.
