In celebration of 25 years at the heart of the game, PokerStars will play host to an online Anniversary Series that features a massive $50M in tournament guarantees.
From May 10 to June 3, the series will celebrate the milestone with a wide range of buy-ins and several flagship, must-play events – including three Main Events with a combined guaranteed prize pool of $6M.
With a 461-tournament schedule and qualifiers starting as low as $0.55, there's an event on the Anniversary Series schedule for all players and no shortage of big fields, big moments, and even bigger prizes.
PokerStars also plans to give away $650,000 worth of Anniversary Series Lucky Dip tickets. The $50M in guaranteed prize pools isn't the only thing worth fighting for throughout the series – the $100,000 in added prizes up for grabs via the Low, Medium, High, and Overall Player of the Series leaderboards offers an additional incentive to get in on the action.
Anniversary Series highlights
The Anniversary Series boasts a massive schedule, with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $15,000, but there are a couple events that deserve highlighting here.
On May 24, the trio of Main Events kick off. With $6M guaranteed across the three events,
- $109 Main Event ($1.5M GTD)
- $1,050 Main Event ($2.5M GTD)
- $5,200 Main Event ($2M GTD)
In addition to the Main Events, players can look forward to weekly Sunday highlights including the Sunday Million, Sunday High Rollers, and Mystery Bounty Specials. Plus, Second Chance Main Events (PKO) on May 31 offer players another shot at the big money.
PokerStars will also celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Sunday Storm with a $500K GTD Progressive Knockout tournament, priced at just $11. Phase 1 events are currently underway, with Phase 2 set for May 10.
“We’re proud to celebrate 25 years of PokerStars bringing big money poker tournaments safely to players around the world,” said Steve Clarricoats, Associate Director of Online Scheduling. “Putting $50 million up in guarantees shows our focus remains on bringing the best of PokerStars to more players in a variety of tournaments.”
