Updated 888poker app aims to improve the 888poker mobile experience
888poker officially unveiled its new mobile poker app this past weekend, and the new product puts an upgraded mobile version of the 888poker client on iOS and Android mobile devices.
The product launched at the end of more than two years in development and offers several upgrades to the 888poker mobile app. One of the biggest changes sees the lobby switched into portrait mode, which allows the entire menu of game selections viewable on the screen at the same time.
Other new features include an overhauled filters system and the ability to pre-select preferred stakes. Perhaps the biggest upgrade for online poker players is the ability to multi-table, with the updated 888poker app able to support four tables at once. The multi-tabling feature is supported by a series of buttons across the top of the screen that allows players to switch between tables with one tap.
The new upgrade offers cash games, Blast (aka progressive jackpot sit & gos), Snap Poker (aka fast-fold cash games) multi-table tournaments, and traditional sit & gos. The 888poker client is part of an integrated mobile app that also allows access to 888 online casino and sports betting platforms.
888poker announced Made To Play promotion in conjunction with mobile app launch
888poker is dubbing the new product the "Made To Play" mobile app, and the international online poker company is offering a slew of player promotions to go along with the launch. The company has teased the unveiling of the new app for weeks, with several Made To Play references made on the 888poker Twitter account.
888poker is supporting the launch by giving away more than $1 million in prizes, including $30,000 up for grabs in weekly freerolls. Other promotions include "daily Happy Hours and Gift Drops of up to $1,000 every five minutes" according to the 888poker eMagazine.
"Made To Play, emphasises that our player’s enjoyment is our number one priority," said 888poker Head of B2C Guy Cohen in a news release. "Poker is a pastime, a passion and a community for our players; we have built a platform that puts them at the heart."
888poker says that more than 60% of their players access the platform via mobile devices, and with that in mind made the new mobile 888poker client a priority. The company soft launched the upgraded mobile app in August before officially unveiling the product last weekend.
The Apple iOS version of the app can be found in the App Store, while Android users can find the 888poker app in the Google Play store.
