GarrettAdelstein took to Twitter yesterday, hinting heavily at a potential re-return to the livestream cash game arena. While the full details about the game are still to come, Adelstein gave the community just enough to whip up a fervor over the game.
In his post, Adelstein teasingly asks if there are any $200/$400 or higher no-limit games running this weekend, tagging Bally Live Poker in his query. He continues with the rhetorical line of questioning, asking if there's a brand new studio for him to play in at the CommerceCasino in Los Angeles. Evidently, it's a yes to both and the date is set for Sunday, March 3rd at 3:00pm PST.
Adelstein included MattBerkey in his post, hinting at a possible re-ignition of their on-felt rivalry this Sunday. Berkey is confirmed for the game on Sunday.
Bally Live Poker & Commerce team up
In December, PokerOrg reported on the partnership between Bally Live Poker and the Commerce Casino just as Adelstein's return tour kicked off. Now, with a brand new livestream studio in his backyard, Adelstein's tour looks primed to continue, perhaps in a more permanent way.
PokerOrg reached out to MitchRubenstein, Executive Producer of Bally Live Poker, for comment.
Rubenstein told us, "LA is the entertainment capital of the World and the Commerce Casino is home to So Cal's most famous and storied poker room. For Ballys there is no better place for a streaming partner."
Rubenstein continued, "Today's biggest poker stars can't wait to return to compete on camera, where they have played and learned their craft alongside thousands of lovers of the game. It's a great new era for poker fans everywhere and for all of us at Ballys."
Wayne Chang on OnlyFriends Podcast
Yesterday, WayneChang, game runner for Bally Live Poker at The Commerce, made an appearance on the OnlyFriends Podcast to explain the move to Los Angeles and what to expect from the first-ever livestream game from The Commerce and beyond.
Chang danced around confirmation of Adelstein's appearance on Sunday, but did share some details, saying, "It's a $100k min [buy-in]. We're gonna be announcing the lineups momentarily."
He continued, "Commerce has never had a livestream, this is the first. So, it's kind of a very special event...The most notable regular will be PhilLaak every Thursday."
Chang said that the Thursday games would be $25/$50/$100, and the first Thursday would feature Laak, Wolfgang Poker and XuanLiu. He also hinted at a big upcoming $500/$1,000 game
