The Online Super Series (OSS) XL at ACR Poker, the flagship site of the Winning Poker Network, begins September 3 with a special twist. The upcoming edition will be the largest ever, with a record $50 million in prize-pool guarantees to be paid out over the series' month-long run, which will stretch into early October.
This upcoming "extra large" edition of the OSS will include more than 500 separate events, and most of those will also include high, medium, and low versions, pushing the true number of series offerings well over the thousand-tourney mark. ACR Poker has already published the complete schedule of events. The OSS gets underway on Sunday, September 3 with a three-part "Early Special" NLH tourney, and the final opening-day flights of two major mystery-bounty NLH events and the series' two main events take place on the evening of October 2.
Along the way, there's action in every format and variant that ACR offers. This XL edition of the OSS offers the following:
- Over $50 million guaranteed in guaranteed prize payouts
- Special $60,000 leaderboard
- Buy-ins ranging from 10 cents to $2,650
- Four events with guarantees of at least $2 million
- Several prominent mystery-bounty tourneys
In a twist on previous OSS offerings, not all events in the OSS XL come in simultaneous high (H), medium (M), or low (L) buy-in designations. A few events omit the medium buy-in option, and some others are standalone offerings without any H/M/L designation.
Among the latter are the OSS XL series' two NLH main events. Both of them feature high buy-ins, of $2,650 and $1,100, respectively, and both begin on Sunday, September 24. The $2,650 main will feature a $2.5 million guarantee, and the $1,110 main event offers a $1 million guarantee. Both events offer multiple Day 1 flights, including on October 2, and late registration for these events remains open for the entire day of each opening flight. The survivors of those flights are then combined for Day 2 action on Monday, October 3.
The OSS XL also includes an expanded leaderboard with ACR Poker chipping in the extra $60,000 in prize money for the winners. Full details on that leaderboard chase have yet to be made available, but they will be published in the coming weeks within the ACR Poker client.
