America's Cardroom announced today the signing of their newest Team Pro, Argentinian Jose Ignacio Barbero. Better known in the poker community as "Nacho", Barbero will play on the site under the username "Travisrice."
Barbero has been a fixture in the poker world for the better part of the last fifteen years. In 2010, he burst onto the scene, dominating the Latin American Poker Tour, winning two championships in just four months. The run good didn't end there as Barbero has managed to rack up over $8.4 million in live tournament winnings over the course of his career.
"I'm thrilled to join the ACR Team," said Barbero. "I'm excited to be representing a site that loves poker as much as I do and puts the players first. I look forward to the opportunity of introducing ACR into new markets and help grow it even more into a worldwide brand."
He's still winning...
Barbero's success has ramped up in recent tournament appearances. At the 2022 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Barbero won his first WSOP bracelet. The long-awaited victory in the $7,000 NLH Super Turbo Bounty event saw Barbero best the field of 419 players to take home $587,520. Barbero will return to the World Series this summer to try his luck at winning bracelet number two.
In March, Barbero took down Event #2 the 15K NLH 8-Max at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Vietnam. Barbero, as dominant as ever, eliminated all but one of the players at the final table on his way to collecting $600,000.
