The Asian Poker Tour (APT) has unveiled the full schedule for its 2026 APT Championship in Taipei, Taiwan.
In partnership with the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Club, the 17-day festival will run from November 13-29.
With two venues to host events – Red Space and the Asia Poker Arena – the APT Championship looks poised to build upon its record-setting inaugural run last year. With over 28,000 tournament entries and upwards of $34M, the 2025 APT Championship proved to be the richest and largest poker festival in APT history.
As the APT celebrates its 20th anniversary, the 2026 APT Championship is taking things to the next level.
The schedule boasts 210 trophy events and 23 Championship events – with total prize pool guarantees of more than $8.1M – alongside an additional 187 side events consisting of a wide array of poker variants, including dedicated women's events and mixed games tournaments.
Main Event centerpiece
As always, the APT Championship Main Event stands as the highlight of the festival. The $10,000 buy-in freezeout tournament features a $5M guaranteed prize pool.
In 2025, India's Nishant Sharma rose above the field to claim the ~$1.1M first-place prize – forever etching his name into the tour's history books as the first winner of the APTC Main Event.
Those looking to emulate Sharma's historic run can earn their seats to the APTC Main Event in a number of ways.
With nine Main Event seats up for grabs in across the upcoming APT Incheon festival, running August 7-16, and an additional bundle of seats to be won at APT Jeju from September 25 to October 7, players have every reason to fire big at the tour's upcoming stops. The APTC festival itself will award 15 seats to the Main Event during its run of Championship events.
