Fresh off winning his record-setting 16th World Series of Poker Circuit ring, Alan "Ari" Engel has earned his third career WSOP bracelet by taking down Event #28 of the US-domestic WSOP Online series, $500 NLH Turbo 6-Max.
Engel, one of the most dedicated grinders of WSOP events, whether live or online, picked up his first online bracelet-event win on Saturday to join with his pair of live-event WSOP victories. In 2019, Engel removed his name from the proverbial "best players without a bracelet" list by winning a $2,500 NLH event, and he followed that in 2021 by claiming the title in one of his favorite events, the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.
With little fanfare, Engel posted a note about his latest success on his Twitter/X account:
Engel's win caps big week
The latest triumph for the Canadian native and occasional Las Vegas resident came over a 333-entry field, where 196 players in the $500 buy-in tourney also chipped in 137 re-entries, building a total prize pool of $149,850, spread across the top 36 finishers.
Engel, playing as "palmtreeb", earned $38,196.76 for the win in addition to the bracelet. He sealed the third bracelet by ousting "Char1P" during heads-up play. Char1P collected $23,601.37 for second, while "Preeti96" took third for $16,228.75.
