A video leaked on the web shows rooms of players colluding to game an online poker site
Poker players nowadays are definitely more tech-savvy than those from five years ago. Players are now demand top security when engage in online gaming, so a site could quickly lose its reputation and trust if security concerns are raised. That's what is happening to an Asian poker app due to a recent video that was released showing a poker grind house, with players on numerous computers all multitabling on the same app.
It is not the first time that the Asian poker app's reputation is being questioned due to a lack of security and allowing collusion among players. This video somehow shows something similar - a team of players working together to scam unsuspecting players. Online poker operators have been overcoming this security problem in the last few years by stepping up their monitoring and tracking of player's locations; however, this doesn't seem to be the case for this Asian poker app.
Twitter has been a common channel for players and streamers to raise their concerns due to the video. One of the replies said that this poker app, which hasn’t been identified, has been growing exponentially in the Asian market and that anyone interested in playing must know the host. At that point, the host can either ask for a deposit or grant some credits to play.
These players are even seen using very similar screen names that repeat several times, which could just be a coincidence if not in the same location. However, the fact that a whole team is playing from the same location is very worrying.
