Bally Live Poker has assembled a new team of players at this year’s WSOP to bring awareness to the new BallyLive.com website.
The BLP team will play in many of this summer’s WSOP events, including the upcoming Main Event beginning on July 3. The team consists of the 2024 WSOP $50K NLH 8 Max event champion, Sergio Aido, WSOP bracelet winners Ryan LaPlante, Brian Green, Mike Holtz, and Paul James, two-time WSOP-C champion Kasey Lyn Mills, MSPT POY Kyna England, Eddie Pak, and Clint Tolbert.
PokerOrg caught up with Bally Live Poker producer Alex Lee to get the down low on the future of BLP cash streams in Vegas, the ongoing streams at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, and BallyLive.com.
Why did Bally Live Poker decide to put together a team for the 2024 WSOP?
Alex Lee: We wanted to use our BLP team to promote the new launch of Ballylive.com. Bally will be providing an alternative way to watch live poker and also earn Bally rewards.
The new website launched on June 24 and there will be a ton of different poker content going up on the channel this summer. The site is a home to watch live sports and poker content, so fans can feel like part of the community. The fans always come first for us.
How did you choose the team?
AL: Team BLP is a mixture of the players that have supported Bally’s cash streams this past year. We are blessed to have such great people from the poker community working with us.
We are very excited that our good friend and BLP regular Sergio Aido won the $50K buy-in event near the beginning of the series. What a great way to start the team off with such a big win!
And another of our team members, Brian Green, is giving away a $10,000 Main Event seat through his Instagram account. We want to get the fans involved as much as possible.
Do you have any new plans for your cash game streams at the Commerce Casino?
AL: We will have exciting high-stakes games with players such as Eric Persson and Garrett Adelstein coming up soon. At present, we are sponsored by GGPoker and run three live shows a week at the iconic Commerce, with the occasional $100k+ buy-in. Tune into us on BallyLive.com to watch the games.
Do you plan to relaunch a live stream in Las Vegas since the Tropicana is being torn down for a baseball stadium?
AL: We are in talks with multiple locations and intend to have a studio up early next year.
