BetRivers Poker has officially launched Splash the Pot – a new cash game feature that randomly adds bonus money to pots, giving players both added value and high-energy situational moments during standard play.

The Splash the Pot feature will be familiar to any players who put in volume on the Run It Once Poker platform – founded by Phil Galfond and later sold to Rush Street Interactive, the owners of BetRivers Poker – and is now available across all cash games on the BetRivers Poker site.

“Splash the Pot is something we’ve believed in for a long time,” said Jason Senti, Head of Poker at BetRivers Poker. “Players loved it at Run It Once, and we wanted it to be a foundational part of BetRivers Poker from day one. It adds a dynamic element to cash games, creates real moments of excitement, and rewards all players at the table in a way that supports the long-term health of the overall ecosystem.”

How Splash the Pot works and BIG SPLASH

At the onset of randomly selected cash game hands, extra money falls – seemingly from the sky – onto the table. When a Splash the Pot occurs, the bonus money is added directly into the pot before any betting takes place. Once the money hits the middle of the table, the hand plays out in standard fashion and the winner of the pot takes the extra cash.

Splash the Pot requires no opt-in and offers visual indicators, including gold pot displays and enhanced table effects, to make splashed hands immediately recognizable. Additionally, hand histories provide a clear breakdown of of player contributions versus splash amounts.

BetRivers Poker also offers BIG SPLASH – an uncommon table-wide experience that transforms a regular hand into a shared bonus cash party. In a BIG SPLASH hand, all players at the table are dealt a face-up hand and no betting takes place. The board runs out automatically and whoever has the best hand takes the lion's share of the prize money while the rest is distributed evenly amongst the table.

“From a player’s perspective, Splash the Pot is one of those features that just feels good,” said Jesse Wilke, Director of Poker Marketing at BetRivers Poker. “You’re playing the same cash games you always do, and suddenly there’s extra money in the pot that anyone can win. It adds energy to the table, rewards engagement, and gives players something extra to play for, creating fun and memorable moments. We’re excited to have Splash the Pot live, and we plan to layer on even more excitement with some great promotions featuring it in the coming months.”
