The Super High Roller Bowl is back in town for a round of $100K Pot-Limit Omaha and eight levels are in the books after Day 1 at the PokerGO Studios in Las Vegas.
Finland's Joni Jouhkimainen is the leader with just over 1.8 million in chips with blinds kicking off at 5K/10K/10K on Day 2. Jesse Lonis, who won an event last week in the PokerGO Tour's PLO Series II, is behind the Finn in second with over 1.4 million and Bryce Yockey is in third with 1.2 million. They lead a surviving field of 11 players from 30 original entries on Day 1. Registration remains open until the start of Day 2.
Dylan Weisman, the fourth player over one million chips, and two-time SHRB champ Isaac Haxton round out the top five. Among the other 11 are Stephen Chidwick — who bagged the short stack after a late double against Weisman — and PLO Series II champ Chino Rheem. Joining them are Veselin Karakitukov, Ben Lamb, Jason Koon, and Artur Martirosyan.
Blez, Foxen fall
The field of 30 players will surely grow with Day 2 registration on Tuesday, but several regulars turned out to try and spin up a stack on Day 1. Jared Bleznick was one of them, but it fell apart in the middle of the day before Weisman took the last of his chips. Bleznick won the first SHRB PLO tournament and nearly won the second one in 2024, but he will need to buy-in on Tuesday morning to make a run in the third. Nick Schulman, Seth Davies, and Alex Foxen were among the other also-rans on Day 1.
Registration continues until play starts again at 1pm Vegas time on Tuesday. The PokerGO livestream starts at 5pm, with play to continue until the final table of five.
