The Brazilian Series of Poker Championship is off and running in São Paulo and the first of two flagship events — the BSOP Millions Championship — is down to just three tables on its penultimate day.
But the marquee event isn't the only thing going on at the largest poker event in the history of Latin America. Our creators have been on the ground all week, covering everything from the BSOP Millions Championship to the Creator's Cup — a unique freeroll that welcomed 70 tournament winners from throughout the year to play for $20,000.
Burning questions
The Championship started with 503 entries and returned with 24 players on Day 4 with a plan to play down to Monday's final table over the course of Sunday. William Fernandes topped the final three tables and names like Diego Ventura and Paulo Goncalves were in close pursuit. Joao Vieira, who needed a miracle late on Day 3 to stay alive, returned with a top-ten stack and 60 big blinds for the push to the finale. Santiago Plante also found himself in the mix on the penultimate day but he bagged up one of the shorter stacks of the final three tables.
PokerOrg's band of creators have been roaming São Paulo all week, asking important questions like "Is Yuri Dzivielevski the Brazilian Phil Ivey?" The Brazilian tournament crusher has five bracelets in six years — is he on his way to making Phil Ivey the Yuri of the United States?
And no Brazilian poker content would be complete without the obligatory runout celebration:
Sunday's Day 4 will play down to a final table that returns on Monday to play for the biggest shares of a prize pool that is just over $2 million. You can find the rest of the livestreamed action on Sunday and Monday over on the BSOP YouTube
Creator's Cup
Elsewhere at the BSOP, PokerStars Ambassadors have been hosting freerolls since April and each winner was invited to the Creator's Cup in Brazil. The freeroll, which offered a $20,000 prize for the winner, saw Felipe Kruger outlast 70 players to beat Alexandre Candido in heads-up play and take the top prize.

Plenty more to come
The BSOP Millions Championship is just a small portion of the festivities, which run through Friday, November 29 with nearly 100 events. The LAPT Main Event kicked off Wednesday with a $2 million guarantee and eight opening flights spread out over four days. A total of 3,093 entries turned out and 1,006 of them returned on Sunday for Day 2. They're on a long journey to Thursday's Day 6 finale.
