How do you tell players to prep for the WSOP?
Whether you're coming for a couple of days or the whole duration, the physical and mental fortitude it takes to succeed on those super long days is a lot.
I recommend that you start working hard now! Approach everything you're doing one thing at a time mindfully; this will strengthen your mental fortitude. Also, start working out to improve your physical fortitude. I left Vegas a week early last year because it was so grueling. I don't plan on doing that this year.
What event are you most looking forward to playing?
The WSOP Main Event. I’ve made a couple of deep runs in the last few years. I’m hoping to improve on that this year. I learn a lot every time I go deep in that event and how to play that tournament specifically. It’s a unique animal.
What is the biggest event you will play?
It will be the $250,000 event that I finished fifth in last year [for a $1,202,318 cash]. It’s fun to battle with the other elite players and the successful business people that play.
