DNegs agrees to take on his old-time foe at the poker battlefield

Nobody thought Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu would say yes to one of his biggest rivals in the poker community, Doug Polk, but he did. The interactions between these two poker players are quite peculiar, with Polk taking every chance he has to lash out against Negreanu, and Negreanu returning some sarcastic responses; but at least they are quite funny and entertaining for the poker community. After Negreanu was permanently banned from Twitch this week due to what happened in one of his streams, Polk has been calling on the six-time WSOP bracelet winner to play poker against him to determine who is the best. Kid Poker has accepted.

It didn't seem like it was going to happen for real, especially since Negreanu's initial response to Polk's offering was very sarcastic, stating that his expertise is not in Hold'em and that Polk was proposing a challenge that gave him a full advantage. Despite his apparent refusal, Negreanu has now asked Polk details about how he wants to structure this challenge, asking things like "How much do you want to play for" and when. He finished his tweet by saying, "You worked hard for this opportunity. I’ll give the people what they want."

The details of this challenge are still being discussed, but some people feel that Negreanu probably doesn't stand a chance against Polk given that he is considered one of the best No-Limit Hold'em heads-up players, if not the best, in the world. But Negreanu is seeking to put an end to this long-lasting feud that both of them have had for years. He ended up suggesting $200-$400 stakes and two tables of NLHE. "If this will make you feel better and give you some type of closure from your multi-year obsession with me," wrote Negreanu, "Deal the f*****g cards."
