Does this lucky hoodie work at the WSOP? No doubt

Some players in the WSOP $1,500 Monster Stack might know her as the player with the blue ‘No Doubt’ hoodie.

Others might recognize her as the one who knocked them out.

Either way, Dayanna Ciabaton has made a splash at this summer’s World Series of Poker.

A keen recreational player with $57K in previous tournament earnings, and a best-ever score of $8,968, she's just finished 26th of an astonishing 11,933 entries in the Monster Stack for $61,000.

Was it the lucky hoodie she picked up at the No Doubt concert at the Sphere?

As she explains to PokerOrg in the video below, it was less a fashion choice than a product of the fact she arrived in Vegas with no return flight booked, and traveling extremely light.

Not just a girl

Ciabaton has recently relocated from Florida to Colorado, with the idea being to find a place to live close to both poker (for her) and skiing (for her partner).

She obviously didn’t pack a lot for the trip this time, but that just leaves more room in her bag for all that prize money.

Not that she’s done yet. Ciabaton has decided to stay and play the Main Event for the first time ever.

“I’m just hoping this is the first of a bunch of deep runs this summer,” she told PokerOrg after her deep run. “The Monster Stack was a four-day grind with little sleep and no sunlight, but there isn’t anywhere else I’d rather be.”

Will she pick up another hoodie, or is it too lucky not to wear?

Coldplay are on at the Allegiant Stadium next week. Just saying.
