The double-barreled Venom Mystery Bounty tournament is back on ACR Poker this week, with big bounties on the line in both NLH and PLO formats.
It's the 25th anniversary for ACR Poker, and the celebration warrants their biggest batch of guarantees yet, with $15M waiting for winners from August 13 to September 2.
Last time on Venom, a trip of big stars were on the marquee for the two final tables. ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker, who has graced the Venom final table three times, did so in the NLH event, while Chance Kornuth and another ACR Pro, Alex Foxen, ran deep in PLO.
Moneymaker bounced out in ninth, and the Kornuth/Foxen combo did marginally better, with Foxen bowing in fifth and Kornuth falling short in second.
$12M on tap in Venom NLH
It will be another big turnout for an even bigger pot of guarantees. One big chunk, $12 million, will be up for grabs in the NLH version, which has bounty prizes that range from $5K to $500K.
Meanwhile, the PLO event features a $3M prize pool, with bounties that range from $5K to $250K.
Eight starting flights will start on Thursday, August 13 at 12:05pm ET and run throughout the summer:
- Day 1A: August 13
- Day 1B: August 16
- Day 1C: August 17
- Day 1D: August 20
- Day 1E: August 23
- Day 1F: August 24
- Day 1G: August 27
- Day 1H: August 30
Everyone is in the money for Day 2 when the mystery bounties start on August 31 at 1:05pm ET. Players will be able to play multiple Venom starting flights and combine their stacks for Day 2.
The PLO event will end on Day 2 and the NLH edition will play down to a final table on September 1. The NLH final table will start on September 2 at 4:05pm ET.
Venom Fever satellites are also available, with more than 1,500 seats available via regular satellites, mega satellites, Beast Tourneys, steps and Survivor Flips. You can also jump into another $10M worth of tournaments throughout the rest of the series, with Venom Specials starting on August 17.
Beast Tourneys will run every Sunday at 5:05pm ET from May 31st to August 23rd, excluding July 12th and 19th. The buy-in is $95, and they'll guarantee 20, 25, and 30 seats. You can also win your way in for free by placing in The Beast or Sit & Crush weekly rake races.
