How do you tell players to prep for the WSOP?
Players should show up to the WSOP with as many physical, mental, and emotional resources as possible. Not only do you need to be able to execute on long hours and little sleep, but you also need to be able to make decisions that benefit your overall health and mindset.
Be prepared with approximately which events you want to play, how many bullets you want to fire, as well as days that are both concrete off days and soft off days.
Mapping in time for self-care on your calendar before the summer starts and you enter full-degen mode can be really helpful in sustainability.
What is the biggest event you will play?
I will be firing the $50k PLO and maybe some big NLHE stuff. My favorite summer event is the $25k PLO, so playing those back-to-back is always a big week.
What's your favorite WSOP moment?
My favorite personal moment from the WSOP was when I won my first bracelet. It was such a surreal experience to transition back into poker, decide I wanted to take PLO MTTs seriously, and then immediately ship a bracelet. Being surrounded by my friends and family at that moment is something that I will always remember.
