The second-largest buy-in of the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) continued today with Day 2 action in Barcelona. The €50,000 Super High Roller Second Chance restarted at 12:30 pm local time after concluding Day 1 play yesterday.

The event garnered a total of 20 entries (13 unique, seven re-entries) and all 13 players returned to the felt after Day 1 action. With late registration still open to start Day 2, however, there was still a chance for six additional players to join the fray. Only five of the remaining 19 players would make the money, with a €119,800 bubble separating the haves from the have-nots.

Petrangelo and Maue cut a deal

When the dust settled in Barcelona, two high rollers, Nick Petrangelo and Leonard Maue, shared the spotlight after agreeing to an ICM deal for the remaining prize pool.

As chip leader, Petrangelo took the lion's share of the cash while the coveted PokerStars trophy went to Maue after he won the agreed-upon final hand to determine who took home the trophy. Petrangelo cashed for €405,131 and Maue hauled in €383,129, plus the trophy.

The deal came immediately following the exit of the most recent inductee to the Poker Hall of Fame, Patrik Antonius

In a blind vs. blind confrontation, Antonius called with when faced with Petrangelo's preflop shove. Up against , Antonius simply needed to fade his opponent's outs to collect the full double up. The runout, however, saw Petrangelo make a superior pair to score the knockout.

Morten Klein (€148,200) and Steve O'Dwyer (€119,800) cashed in fourth and fifth places respectively, while start-of-day chip leader Jesse Lonis found himself in the unenviable position of bubble boy.

Klein's elimination came at the hands of Antonius after the two players collided in an overcards vs. small pair flip. Antonius called off Klein's cutoff jam with , holding a slight lead over his opponent's . The board saw Klein improve to a pair, but Antonius' flopped set of fours had him crushed.

Before departing in fourth, Klein managed to eliminate O'Dwyer after waking up with a monster in the small blind. O'Dwyer needed to improve with , up against Klein's , but the runout failed to provide.
