The World Series of Poker has announced the full WSOP 2025 schedule and it will be the largest to date with 100 bracelet events. That's up on the 99 events that made up the 2024 WSOP schedule.

The 2025 WSOP – the 56th running of the series – takes place from May 27 to July 16 at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casinos.

There are six new events, including a $100K PLO High Roller and a Battle of the Ages event. The Main Event will still be played as a freezeout with a $10,000 buy-in.

Ty Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of WSOP said: “We had hoped to continue to break records last year, and we did – the WSOP Main Event was bigger than ever. In 2025, the WSOP schedule is better again, with something for everyone who loves the game. There’s nothing like summer in Las Vegas and we’re ready to welcome players to the biggest and best WSOP of all time!”

Day 1C of the Main Event has almost broken out of Paris. Just some of the players at the record-breaking 2024 World Series of Poker Main Event.

What's new in the 2025 WSOP schedule?

There are some exciting new additions to the 2025 schedule.

The first two are new tournaments, as hinted at by Daniel Negreanu in an interview with PokerOrg earlier in the month. The $100K PLO and $25K PLO/NLH split are both on the full schedule. The $100,000 High Roller PLO is an event that debuted in WSOP Paradise with 88 entries. Lautaro Guerra won $2.1 million at a final table that included Jared Bleznick, Jason Koon, and Patrik Antonius

The Industry Employees event will once again occupy its traditional opening day slot on May 27, though with a slightly new name this year. The change from 'Casino Employees' to 'Industry Employees' will likely avoid a lot of future questions about pro poker-playing podcasters.

Another new event — Battle of the Ages — will feature two opening flights that split the field at the age of 50 on Sunday, June 22. Those players over 50 years old will jump into Flight A at 10 am, while those under 50 will play Flight B later in the day. The survivors from both flights will combine the next day to battle for age-based supremacy.

The Main Event sideshow will get a new name, with the $800 Summer Celebration starting on Wednesday, July 2. Two opening flights of low buy-in action will fill out the rest of the venue as the Main Event gets started with its opening days.

Wrapping up the new tournaments at the tail end of the Main Event is a $3,000 T.O.R.S.E. event on Friday, July 11. The new mixed-game format swaps out the Hold’em in a regular H.O.R.S.E. event and replaces it with 2-7 Triple Draw. T.O.R.S.E. has gained popularity over the last two years on the WSOP Circuit and at the Caesars Mixed Game series, and Allen Kessler championed its involvement in the summer schedule.

Other events get a new look or an extra buy-in level, like the $1,500 PLO Double Board Bomb Pot on June 6 – formerly a mixed event with NLH – and the $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty that joins the family of $1K, $1.5K, and $10K buy-ins already on the schedule.

Matthew Berglund It's all about the bracelets and the Main Event bracelet is the biggest of the lot.

2025 World Series of Poker – what stays the same?

Some things – thankfully – remain the same. The 2025 WSOP Main Event remains as a $10,000 buy-in freezeout and runs from July 2-16. Records have been broken in the Main Event for the last two years running, with entries topping 10,000 for the first time in 2023 (10,043 runners) and hitting a new high of 10,112 in 2024.

Jonathan Tamayo is the reigning Main Event champion and he won the $10,000,000 first prize and the most coveted of all the WSOP bracelets last summer.

The highest buy-in remains at $250,000 for the Super High Roller and the prestigious $50K Poker Players Championship is also back. Daniel Negreanu won the Poker Players Championship in 2024 and will be looking to become just the second player in history to win the event back-to-back after Dan 'Jungleman' Cates triumphed in 2021 and 2022.

At the other end of the spectrum, the lowest buy-in event remains at $300.

Daniel Negreanu won the prestiguous $50K Poker Players Championship in 2024. Daniel Negreanu won the prestigious $50K Poker Players Championship in 2024.
