GGPoker has announced a new feature for poker streamers who play on the site: Streamer Mode.
GGPoker Streamers (official content creators who collaborate with GGPoker) will have access to Streamer Mode and its stable streaming environment – plus exclusive benefits that will support the growth of their personal brand and streaming career.
How to become a GGPoker Streamer
There are a couple steps to follow if you want to utilize Streamer Mode.
First, you have to get approved as a GGPoker Streamer by contacting talent@ggpoker.com. Once approved, the Streamer Mode feature will appear in your desktop client and, once enabled, you can link your Twitch or YouTube account.
From then on, you can enjoy an enhanced streaming experience and earn 100% rakeback on all poker games played while streaming.
Streamer Mode allows you to hide your hole cards (and account balance) from stream viewers to prevent any possible disadvantage and the Streamer Panel will help you manage multiple tables.
GGPoker Streamers will be able to showcase their streams in the main lobby of the game client and will receive a streamer-exclusive avatar border.
Eligibility for Streamer Mode
If you have been streaming your poker gameplay on YouTube or Twitch for the past three months with an average of 40+ concurrent viewers, you meet GGPoker's minimum eligibility criteria.
There are no specific requirements to maintain your status once you become a GGPoker Streamer, but inappropriate behavior – like manipulating any stream stats or abusing the reward system – can result in loss of Streamer Mode status.
According to GGPoker the move to incentivize poker streamers comes as viewership and total watch time for poker streams has hit a major downturn, while the number of streaming poker channels continues to grow. By providing a simplified technical experience – and a financial advantage with the 100% rakeback program – the operator is hoping to see its brand dominate the online poker streaming landscape.
