Amidst the holiday festivities, PokerGO released the entirety of Season 15 of High Stakes Poker – offering fans of the show a chance to watch the new episodes at their leisure. Superstar comedian Kevin Hart brought the celebrity shine to the PokerGO Studio, kicking off the new season in a $500/$1,000 game alongside Andrew Robl, Sam 'Senor Tilt' Kiki, Sameh Elamawy, Justin Gavri, Darin Feinstein, Kirk Brown, and Stanley Tang.
While the action throughout the first few episodes came thick and fast, it wasn't until Episode 5 that the real fireworks emerged as Hart and Robl collided in a pot that neared the seven-figure mark.
Robl risks it all with combo draw
With the $4,000 double straddle in play, the action folded around to Robl in the small blind and he opted to raise to $15,000 with and roughly $1.2M in his stack. Hart looked down at
in the big blind and made the call off of a stack of $440K. Elamawy returned his rags to the dealer from the single straddle, but Gavri came along with
from the double straddle.
The flop all but guaranteed action as Hart connected with a well-disguised middle set and Robl picked up a flush draw. With two opponents to act behind, Robl played it safe with a check and Hart seized the betting lead – firing $35,000 into the $48,000 pot. Gavri relinquished his bottom pair, but Robl wasn't ready to wave the white flag just yet and made the call to bring the pot to $118,000.
On the turn, Robl added an open-ended straight draw to go along with his flush draw, but checked it over to Hart once more. The comedic genius wasted no time in moving a $100,000 stack of chips across the betting line and Robl wasted even less time in moving all-in over the top. Hart quickly called it off and within a matter of seconds the pot had ballooned to $899,000.
With the cards on their backs, both players agreed to run two river cards.
"A chop seems fair," Robl said.
The completed the board on the first runout and Hart locked up half the pot.
"Give that man the second one," Hart told the dealer as he gestured towards Robl.
Historically, Robl has managed to worm his way out of these spots on High Stakes Poker – but not this time as the completed the second runout and sent the entire pot Hart's way.
"You were due for one," Robl told Hart.
High Stakes Poker Season 15 is now streaming, exclusively on PokerGO.
