It was quite a week in the poker world. With controversy abound in the social media streets and an AI scandal that rocked the community to its core, the focus has been, for the most part, off the felt. While these off-felt threads of interest captured and held the attention of the poker collective, one of the sickest coolers in poker occurred on Hustler Casino Live

During the show's Thursday $25/$50 Ante Game, Luda Chris and Francisco The Pro tangled in a $194K pot. It wasn't the largest pot of the week in a monetary sense – far from it, in fact – but the brutality of the hand made it an instant pick for PokerOrg's Hand of the Week.

'I had such a feeling he had it'

Chris kicked off the action up front with a raise to $400 with . Francisco made the call with before Jasper opted to bump it up to $2,600 with . When the action folded back around to him, Chris made the call – inviting Francisco to do the same.

The flop connected with all three players, albeit at differing levels of strength. Chris, first to act, checked to the aggressor with middle set and Francisco, with a massive combo draw, did the same. After getting way out of line pre-flop, Jasper kept the pressure on with a bet of $4,000 while having no way to improve to the winner.

With draws aplenty to derive value from, Chris opted to raise immediately – $12,000 to go. Francisco wasn't going anywhere with his straight, flush, and straight flush draws and threw in the $12,000 required to see the turn. Jasper, with just bottom pair, came along as well to further bloat the pot. The turn was gin for Francisco as he improved to an unbeatable straight flush

With so many of the draws coming home, Chris opted for a pot-controlling check on the turn. Francisco followed suit, giving his opponents plenty of rope to either improve their hands or bluff at the pot. Jasper waved the white flag with a check behind to bring in the improbable river – an absolute disaster card for Chris as he improved to quads while already drawing stone dead

With $43,950 in the middle, Chris fired $18,800 across the betting line – or into the abyss – before Francisco announced an all-in for $74,875. Jasper quickly got out of the way, leaving Chris to instantly call.

"You call?" Francisco asked. "Straight flush."

On hearing the bad news, Chris slammed his cards down on the table in frustration. As the rest of the players around the table realized the nature of the beat, cries of disbelief and amazement rang out.

"I had such a feeling he had it, too," Chris told the table.

"This is how we do it," Francisco sang as he took to his feet for a celebratory dance.

Another week, another honorable mention

Hustler Casino Live stepped up the action in a major way this week, producing not one, but two of the most insane hands in the show's history within a twenty-four hour period. Unfortunately, the aforementioned stories held the spotlight throughout – allowing another wild hand to slip through the cracks to a degree.

With the stand-up game in play, Mariano Grandoli and Sam 'Senor Tilt' Kiki went head-to-head in a clash of fifth-street chicken – all in pursuit of winning the side game and outplaying the other. It's the kind of pot Patrick Leonard wanted to see more of when he posted about the current state of poker's content development.
