Hustler Casino Live regular Britney was removed from the High Stakes Live cash game at the WSOP on Friday night over a compliance issue.
The game was the first live cash game to be streamed from the WSOP, and was run by High Stakes Poker Productions, the company behind the popular Hustler Casino Live stream.
Britney didn't start the game but joined around 20 minutes in, sitting down with the minimum $50K buy-in.
Things started well for her. She ran her stack up to nearly $100K after doubling with eights against .
Unfortunately for Britney, she wasn't pulled from the game at this point.
She lost a big pot to Rampage with to
on a
board, and another to Nik Airball, who rivered a straight to beat her top pair. The remainder of her first buy-in eventually went to Rampage.
Britney bought in for another $50K and ran it up to $90K before busting again. Shortly after, she was removed from the game and a promo graphic was displayed for a couple of minutes.
When the stream resumed, Britney was gone from the table.
Ryan Feldman: A tough situation
PokerOrg confirmed that she was removed because of a compliance issue. Initially Britney had been told she couldn't play. Then she was given the green light, only to be pulled around two hours into the stream.
The issue stemmed from her cash buy-in, as casino officials were unable to verify the source of the funds.
We spoke with game-runner Ryan Feldman afterward, who said, "There's a lot of strict security with compliance these days at the World Series, especially when players bring cash.
"This cash game is big and there's a lot of cash involved — even more than they're used to seeing for tournaments. There's only so much we can do at our end, we just have to find out who's okay to play and who's not.
"It's obviously a tough situation for us, because she's a big part of the stream, but there's really nothing I can do. We might see some issues like that going forward with these games, but hopefully it gets a little bit easier going forward."
Rampage and Airball ended the night as the biggest winners.
Airball ended up $323,800 and Rampage was close behind with a profit of $301,600. Two players lost more than Britney. Ace lost $131,000 and Rips lost $411,400.
The $100/$200 game will stream live from the WSOP again on Saturday night, with Nik Airball headlining again.
