Hustler Casino Live has announced the return of the Million Dollar Game. In a post on Twitter/X, the HCL account revealed first details of the game, including dates, lineups, and stakes.
After clashing with the WSOP last year, the Million Dollar Game is playing out earlier in 2025. From April 28-May 2, the HCL felt will be occupied by players battling it out with the biggest of stacks. Among the confirmed players in the lineup so far are Alan Keating, Nik 'Airball' Arcot, Peter Wang (pictured above, left), and Steve Swedlow. The minimum buy-in is a cool $1 million and stakes are $500/1K with a $2K BB ante.
We're expecting more names to be announced between now and the first hand being dealt, and after NSUS, the parent company of GGPoker and the WSOP, bought a stake in HCL, Daniel Negreanu could be the biggest name added to the mix.
Speaking after that announcement, Negreanu said, "You rarely see me playing high-stakes poker on streams anymore, but this is going to get me out of retirement and returning to the felt, playing on the most epic cash game stream poker has ever seen.” As far as HCL goes, it doesn't get any bigger or more epic than the Million Dollar Game.
Doug Polk and Tom Dwan are two other big names who have played the Million Dollar Game before.
Peter back after winning close to $5 million
Meantime, fans can rest easy knowing that two stars of the 2024 Million Dollar Game – Wang and Keating – will be playing. Wang took his seat last year as a relatively unknown entity, but after playing for three sessions, the poker world had a new celebrity as he walked away the biggest winner by far.
Across his stint in the Million Dollar Game, Wang managed to rack up $4,938,500 in profit, instantly becoming the most-winning player in Hustler Casino Live history. With his return to the Million Dollar Game imminent, it's likely some of his opponents from last year will return for revenge.
Keating played his role to perfection as well and, despite Wang taking all the headlines with his big win, he managed to make history when he won the second-largest pot in the stream's history.
The biggest? That was Dwan back in the 2023 Million Dollar Game when he won a $3.1 million monster. You can hear him talk through the hand exclusively with PokerOrg below.
